The National Galleries of Scotland cares for, develops, researches and displays the national collection of Scottish and international art and, with a lively and innovative programme of activities, exhibitions, education and publications, aims to engage, inform and inspire the broadest possible public.

Transport for Edinburgh (TfE) is responsible for the delivery and development of an integrated transport network for the Edinburgh City Region. Current and future TfE projects include support to the development of the tram network, expanding the cycle hire scheme, Wayfinding, Park and Rides and a Driver Safety Innovation Challenge.

The centre of Scotland’s capital city is recognised as a World Heritage Site for the striking contrast and quality in architecture between the medieval Old Town and the Georgian New Town and its extraordinary landscape of hills and valleys. It is also recognised for having retained its resident population and for its contribution to cultural life within Scotland and beyond.

The World Heritage Site is managed in partnership between the City of Edinburgh Council, Historic Environment Scotland, the national heritage agency, and Edinburgh World Heritage, an independent charity.

URBACT enables cities to work together to develop new and sustainable solutions to major urban challenges, through networking, sharing knowledge, and building capacities for urban practitioners. URBACT is a European Territorial Cooperation programme fostering sustainable integrated urban development in cities across Europe.
